Abstract:
6.5x8.5 and 5x7 inch glass negatives, and several photographic prints, all dating from circa 1904-1910, containing scenes
of the American West, as well as Berkeley and San Francisco, California. Views in Colorado and Utah are presumed to have been
made during the family's move from Chicago to the Berkeley, Calif., circa 1904-1905. Some 1906 San Francisco earthquake and
fire views and some Berkeley landscapes and building views are present, as well as some photographs of Michaelis family members.
At least one view of the home at 2212 Grove Street (later MLK) in Berkeley, Calif. is present, and this residence is where
these negatives were discovered circa 2015.
